The schedule for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2018 has been released. The highly anticipated series will take place at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for the 14th consecutive year, starting from May 29 and continuing until the conclusion of Big One for One Drop on July 17. 
The WSOP 2018 will feature 78 bracelet events, including the $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop, which is returning after 4 years. Most of the popular events will be back on the schedule, including the $565 Colossus (June 2nd), $1,500 Millionaire Maker (June 9th), $888 Crazy Eights (June 30th), $50,000 Poker Players Championship (June 15th), and the $2,620 Marathon (June 11th).
The $10,000 Main Event will take place on Monday, July 2 and will end on Saturday, July 14, while the Big One for One Drop will conclude the series from Sunday, July 15 to Tuesday, July 17. Besides the Big One for One Drop, there will be some new tournaments on the schedule this time around:
- $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super Turbo Bounty
- $100,000 No-Limit High Roller
- $1,000 Double Stack No-Limit Hold’em
- $365 THE PLO GIANT
- $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty
- $565 WSOP.com ONLINE Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed
- The Closer – $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em (1M Gtd.)
- $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller

Who Will Be Next WSOP Champion?
Scott Blumstein was the 2017 WSOP champion. The 888poker ambassador from New Jersey won $8.15 million after outlasting a huge field of 7,221 players. The WSOP Main Event comes again in 2018 and hence it will be interesting to see as to who emerges the new world champion on July 14.
While WSOP 2017 was great for Blumstein, it was memorable for India’s poker community as Aditya Sushant & Nipun Java won the first WSOP bracelets for India, winning the tag team event. Sushant is a regular player in the Indian circuit, while Java plays regularly in and around Los Angeles. Again, the hopes for the WSOP bracelet for India are high, as several Indian players seem to be in great form.
Both ESPN and PokerGO will once again partner to broadcast the Main Event. PokerGO has also entered an agreement to live-stream additional bracelet events. The schedule for television and streaming has not been released but is expected to come up soon. Stay tuned in right here!
