The 2018 APPT Macau series is currently underway at the PokerStars LIVE poker room in the City of Dreams – Macau. The Asia’s popular poker festival is fast-approaching its conclusion with the two starting flights of its highlight event – APPT Macau Main Event done and dusted now.
Day 2 of the APPT Macau Main Event combined the 212 survivors into the field that would play down to the eventual champion. The registration ended at the start of Level 9 with a total field of 356 players. At the end of Day 2, it was Germany’s Felix Schulze leading the 93 survivors into Day 3.
Felix Schulze entered Day 2 with 60,000 chips and ran well to pile-up a huge stack, ending the day as the chip leader with 328,000. Following him on the second spot was the Belgium player – Davidi Kitai with 307,300 chips. The other notable stacks included Paul Vas Nunes (275,400), Li Yuan (271,300), Martin Gonzales (233,100), Ian Modder (200,700), and Jiafei Yu (175,100) to name a few.
Team India
From Team India, 6 players – Aditya Agarwal (80,000), Ashish Gupta (56,700), Sumit Sapra (48,500), Sahil Chutani (40,800), Kunal Punjwani (28,700), and Benjamin Murry (21,700) entered the APPT Macau Main Event Day 2, which closed out with 4 of them moving into Day 3 of the event.
Leading the 4 Indian survivors into Day 3 was Chandigarh’s Sumit Sapra with 119,000 chips. He was followed by Kolkata’s Aditya Agarwal whose stack fluctuated all day long, but he ended with 87,800 in chips. The other two Indians moving into Day 3 included the young gun – Sahil Chutani (50,400 ) and Benjamin Murry (47,700).
