Spring is a full with several exciting tournaments taking place in various parts of the world. This month’s review of live events includes poker festivals in some of the world’s brightest poker destinations. Amsterdam, Atlantic City and Goa are the destinations where poker pros and enthusiasts will certainly be headed to this month to take part in the following tournaments:
Spring Poker Open
The fans of Borgata poker action must be eyeing on the Spring Poker Open this month. The popular poker festival runs from 10th – 27th April at the New Jersey Boardwalk casino.
The series begins with $600 No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 Million. The $2,700 Main Event of the series will also feature a $1 Million GTD prizepool. Samuel Taylor won last year’s edition of the Championship event, beating 670 entries for $390,103.
This year’s Spring Poker Open will be quite rich with various exciting poker tournaments, some of which will feature five and six-figure guarantees to heat up the poker action.
WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Cherokee
Cherokee Casino in North Carolina will play a host to the WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Cherokee running from 12th – 23rd April. There will be 12 gold ring events on the schedule along with several special tournaments. The 4-day $1,675 Main Event with $1 Million GTD prizepool will be the key highlight. It will take place from 20th to 23rd April. Also, there will be several other events with attractive guarantees, including the $365 NLH with a $500,000 GTD prizepool starting 12th April.
The WSOPC festival will not be the last visit to Harrah’s Cherokee this season. The casino will also host the season-ending Global Casino Championship. The 3-day event slated for 7th to 9th August will feature $1 Million guaranteed prizepool and a WSOP gold bracelet for the champion.
WPT Amsterdam
The Dutch capital is going to be an even more exciting place with the Holland Casino hosting the World Poker Tour Main Tour from 13th to 21st April. Along with the Main Tour, there will also be a €1,500 buy-in WPTDeepStacks Main Event, which kicks off on 14th April and features 3 starting flights. It will be played down until the one lucky player emerges the victorious.
The €3,300 Main Tour Main Event is scheduled to take place from 16th to 20th April. It will feature 2 starting flights and will be played down until the champion emerges.
India’s largest floating casino – Deltin Royale in Goa is just a few days away from becoming an even more exciting place, particularly for poker players and fans of the high roller events. The luxurious floating casino will play a host to the DPT Colossus Super High Roller Series, which is scheduled to take place from 26th to 29th April 2018 and features an estimated INR 2 Crore prizepool.
The DPT Colossus kicks off on 26th April with 20K satellite for 200K SHR, which is followed by a 50K Warm Up starting 26th April. The biggest highlight will be the 200K Super High Roller running from 27th to 29th April. Along with the super high roller series, there will be a brand new event – Adda52 100K Cash Shoot Out on 28th April, which promises to enhance the players’ experience. The series will conclude with 25K NLH Bounty – a special event on 29th April for the bounty lovers in India.
