It has been a crazy week for Bhola Sharma aka ‘bhola’ as he won 2 events back-to-back. Yes, you heard it right! First, this online grinder from Gangtok in Sikkim defeated a strong field in Adda52’s Judwaa tourney on 16th May where he won INR 1,46,063 for his top-notch performance. Just one day after this victory, Sharma then emerged victorious in Godfather 3.0 on 17th May for INR 5,55,100. Apart from the top prize, he also won a ticket to a 6 Lac Package SNG on adda52.com.
Sharma has been playing on adda52.com for several years and has already earned a good name for himself, winning and cashing out in several big events. His performance across Go crazy tourneys has been superb as he has won several crazy tourneys. However, the last night was a memorable one as he won Godfather 3.0 after defeating 427 entries. Players entered at a buy-in of INR 5500 to play in this tournament and the field went on to surpass the original guarantee of INR 20 Lac, eventually making a prizepool of a massive INR 21,35,000, which was shared by the top 27 players.
Sharma reached the heads-up battle with the well-known Sumit Sapra aka ‘Hammer_Head’, who played well but ended up finishing runner-up in the event for a cool INR 3,52,275.
The last hand of the tournament came with the blinds running 60,000/1,20,000 where the eventual winner ‘bhola’ moved all-in with 4s-7s and ‘Hammer_Head’ called with 10h-6h. The board ran 10s-5h-8d-6s-9c, giving a winning straight to ‘bhola’ to take down the Godfather 3.0 tourney.
Godfather 3.0 drew many pros, regulars, and the past champions. Some notables who made money in this event included the likes of the Big Millions 2.0 champion Srihasha D ‘Ivey2’ (11th place for INR 26,688), Vidwath Shetty ‘phoenix66990’ (14th place for INR 21,350), and the Big Millions 2.0 second runner-up Rishi Mundhra ‘ronaldo94 (15th place for INR 21,350) to name a few.
