Day 2 of the Season XVI WPT Bobby Baldwin Classic has ended with two-time WPT Champions Club member Jonathan Little leading the final 20 players with 763,000 chips. Little holds two WPT Main Event titles, which means he is just a win away at the Aria Resort & Casino from record-tying him with just five other players, who have ever notched-up three titles from the popular series.
The $10,000 buy-in WPT Bobby Baldwin Classic began on 20th May this week and following this tournament will be the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions. Since it is running at the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, the event drew some of the best poker players from across the world. 162 entries were registered and they generated a prize pool of $1,555,200. By the end of Day 1, it was the 2-time WPT title winner Kevin Eyster, who bagged the chip lead to move into Day 2.
62 survivors resumed Day 2. While Eyster lost his momentum a bit, Jonathan Little took the lead with 763,000. Following him was Stephen Chidwick. The field is down to final 20 and there are some big names remaining in the mix, so the action is going to be exciting. Two-time WPT Champions Club member Sam Panzica is 3rd in chips. 2015 WSOP Champion Joe McKeehen is 5th in chips, while 14-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth holds the 11th place among the final 20.
