Team India has been going great at the ongoing 2018 WSOP series. While our men have been in the spotlight, now it is our female poker pro Nikita Luther gabbing eyeballs and making India proud.
Yesterday, Adda52 Team Pro Luther entered Day 3 of the Event #54: Big Blind Antes $3,000 NLHE as one of the biggest stacks. Today, she came out to continue her battle for the bracelet and the top prize of $522,715. It was a tough field for her with two previous WSOP gold bracelet winners being in the mix, but Luther played well and managed to finish at an impressive 17th place for $18,495.
The WSOP Big Blind Antes Event drew a total participation of 1,020 entries and Luther was the only Indian player to cash out in this event, with the top 153 places being paid a minimum of $4,513. This was the 2nd cash for Luther at the ongoing WSOP 2018. She got off to the mark by cashing in the $ 1,000 NLH Double Stack (Event #34) finishing 525th for a cool $ 2,038 in the prize money.
Luther made her WSOP debut last year and managed to notch up three cashes. Her biggest cash at the WSOP 2017 came in the $ 3,000 No Limit Hold’em (Event #68) where she finished 71st for $ 8,173. With a total of 5 cashes at WSOP series, Luther’s total live earnings now touch $111,522. Her best live cash came last year in the WPT500 Main Event where she finished 5th for $ 65,000.
