Dsport – Discovery Communications India’s sports TV channel that recently acquired the broadcast rights of the Poker Sports League season (PSL) 2 will telecast the tournament finale, starting tonight 8 PM onwards. The telecast will happen every day from 12th -17th June and every episode will be of an hour, 8 to 9 PM. This is for the first time that broadcast of the globally popular sport of poker is happening in India. So, it is a must-watch poker show for everyone who loves the game of poker!
The PSL season 2 saw a 5-day finale in Goa last month, with 11 teams fighting for a prize pool of INR 4.5 crore. After rigorous 5-day battles, the season ended on 13th May with Goan Nuts winning the title and taking home a massive prize money of INR 2 Crore for their top-notch show.
The organisers have decided to broadcast the tournament finale to give poker enthusiasts, a glimpse into the league, which was at par with the best international leagues in terms of format, experience & conduct. The broadcast will start tonight, 8 PM onwards and will continue through 17th June. For the first time, a broadcast technology of international standard will be used for the telecast of the tournament to give viewers an exceptional experience of the hands being played at the tables. The viewers will be able to see their favourite players and gauge the moves made by them.
