Team India has been rocking at the APPT Manila! After Akshay Nasa finishing 2nd for INR 36.67 Lac in National, Jasven Saigal finishing 8th for INR 1.40 Lac in Turbo Megastack, Chiraag Patel winning the NLH Turbo event, and Sahil Agarwal finishing 2nd in High Roller, it is now Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni making headlines. Patni finished 2nd in Clock Shot for PHP 960,000 (INR 12.51 Lac).
Patni has been in good form this year. He finished runner-up in the WPT Berlin Main Event for his career-best score of $ 115,819. He also notched up several cashes in Las Vegas, including a score in the WSOP 2018 Millionaire Maker. Now he is back into headlines for narrowly missing out on a title in Manila, finishing runner-up to Taiwan’s Tzu Chieh Lo in Event #21: 6-Handed Shot Clock.
The APPT Manila Shot Clock had a buy-in of PHP 25,000 (INR 32,500). It registered 262 entries and created a prize pool of PHP 5,718,150 (INR 74.52 Lac). The top 29 places were paid out a min-cash of PHP 54,000. The lion’s share went to Tzu Chieh Lo who shipped the event for PHP 1,460,000.
Apart from Patni, two more Indians also cashed out. Kavin Shah finished 20th for PHP 62,000 (INR 80,800), while Varun Gupta final-tabled with Patni, finishing 5th for PHP 300,000 (~INR 3.91 Lac). With his runner-up finish in this event, Patni now takes his total live earnings to nearly $409,355.
