Adda52 Team Pro – Nikita Luther is one of the top female pros from India. The WSOP bracelet winner girl has been in big headlines in the APT Vietnam at Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. She created waves for keeping the chip lead for several days at the APT Vietnam Main Event.
Luther grabbed big headlines for bagging the overall chip lead of Day 1A and Day1B with 422, 300 in chips. Even after three starting flights of the main event, she led the remaining 194 players on Day 2. Yesterday also, Luther was chip leading the final 85 runners into Day 3 of the ongoing Main Event.
Luther played some top-notch poker and kept the advantage into Day 3 among the final 85 entries. 83 players would make money in the ongoing APT Vietnam Main Event. Most of the top pros who had returned on Day 3 to battle it for the top prize of VND 1,638,200,000 have been eliminated, leaving only final seven players who are led by Quang Nguyen holding a huge stack of 5,520,000.
To the delight of Indian poker community, a total of six Indians cashed out in the main event. Headlining them was none other than Delhi’s Nikita Luther who finished 11th among the top Asian pros, bagging bagging VND 135,160,000 (INR 4,30,600) for her efforts. Another Indian challenger Vivek Rughani, who started Day 3 action third in chips, ended up finishing 19th for VND 98,730,000.
The 4 other Indians who made money in the main event included Kanishka Samant (32nd for VND 61,650,000), Sajal Gupta (45th for VND 52,690,000), Shashank Jain (70thfor VND 32,900,000) and Zarvan Tumboli (71st for VND 32,900,000). Overall, brilliant performance by Indian poker players!!
After Nam Nguyen (10th for VND 158,130,000), Nguyen PhuDanh (9thfor VND 185,020,000) and Minh Le (8th for VND 218,430,000) going out, there are just 7 players left and they will be returning today to battle for the top prize of VND 1,638,200,000. Here is a look at their chip counts:
