Indians have been rocking at the ongoing APT (Asian Poker Tour) Vietnam. The last few days have been wonderful for Team India, especially for Adda52 Team Pro and India’s only WSOP bracelet girl – Nikita Luther. She is in great form and has been headlining the APT Vietnam Main Event action.
A couple of days ago, Luther (422,300) led 52 survivors from Day 1B flight. She also bagged the overall chip lead of Day 1A and Day 1B to lead 90 survivors from these flights. Yesterday, we reported about Luther leading 194 survivors and a total of 24 Indians into Day 2 of the event.
After an intense action at the APT Vietnam Main Event Day 2, Luther is still going strong and has bagged 954,000 chips to lead the remaining 85 players into Day 3 of the event. Following her in chips are the Vietnamese Tran Thai Ha (832,000) and another Indian challenger Vivek Rughani (737,000).
Apart from Luther and Rughani, there are 4 more Indians who are still in contention and they include Kanishka Samant (396,000), Shashank Jain (353,000), Sajal Gupta (211,000) and Zarvan Tumboli (166,000). All of our Indian challengers hold respectable stacks and will finish in the money.
A total of 83 players are to be paid out in this event, which means the pay-outs will begin after the first two eliminations today. The late registration ended early on Day 2 with 498 entries and a prize pool of VND 9,661,200,000 (INR 3.08 Crore) was created. The Day 3 of the event is starting in a while from now and all remaining 85 contenders will be returning to battle it out for the top prize of VND 1,638,200,000 (INR 1.21 Crore).
