The PPPoker World Championship (PPWC) Main Event is currently underway at the Resorts World Manila. It had three starting flights, which are already done and dusted. The last flight – Day 1C drew 176 entries to take the total field size to 383. From Day 1C flight, only 62 survived to move into Day 2.
Day 1C saw several Indian players battling to make the cut for Day 2. Sajal Gupta, Sumit Sapra and Rishab Jain were all seen in action but only Rishab Jain, who was also a part of Team India at the PPWC Teams Event, survived and entered Day 2. He bagged a workable stack of 48,300 for Day 2.
On Day 2, Jain will join Day 1A chip lead Abhinav Iyer (230,400), Kalyan Chakravarthy (206,200), Aditya Sushant (116,200) and Jasven Saigal (19,800) – all qualifying from Day 1A. Another player Jain will join on Day 2 include Rajeev Kanjani (82,800) who qualified from Day 1B of the event.
Topping the 62 survivors on Day 1C was Russia`s Denis Cheremisin with 209,300. Cheremisin was followed by Gabriel Dominic Carter (205,000) and Angel Jao Kabigting (192,400). The other big stacks were Rundulf Martin (187,900) and Simon Burns (182,700) and Ho Duy Manh (181,200).

Day 1B chip leader Alpheus Chan (273,500) will begin Day 2 as the overall chip leader among the 130 survivors from three starting flights (22 from Day 1A, 46 from Day 1B and 62 from Day 1C). Day 1A chip leader Abhinav Iyer (230,400) and Denis Cheremisin (209,300) are the third and fourth biggest stacks, while Kalyan Chakravarthy (206,200) rounds up the top five starting stacks of Day 2.
