The last 2 starting flights – Day 1B and Day 1C of the ongoing 2019 European Poker Tour (EPT) Sochi ₽191,800 Main Event are in the books. The total field has reached 692 (251 for Day 1A, 359 for Day 1B and 82 for Day 1C). A bonus 25-seat GTD satty was also hosted and it further expanded the field.
The first of the 3 starting flights, Day 1A saw three Indians make it to Day 2 and they were Anant Purohit (79,000), Jayjit Ray (76,500) and Kartik Ved (19,700), the shortest among the three Indians.
Day 1B of the ongoing EPT Sochi RUB 191,800 Main Event saw Sriharsha Doddapaneni, Aditya Sushant and Tathagata Sengupta fighting their way to Day 2. While Sengupta exited early, Doddapaneni (128,500) and Sushant (53,300) managed to make Day 2. They will be joined by Kartik Ved and Jayjit Ray and Anant Purohit who have progressed from Day 1A among 95 survivors.
A total of 359 entries were registered on Day 1B. Out of these, only 137 survived and made it to Day 2. Leading them was Viktor Ustimov with 307,500 in chips. Here is a look at the top 5 chip counts:
