Adda52 is the industry leader when it comes to online poker and the site hosts a plenty of high-value tournaments to cater to poker players in India. One of its most popular tournaments is the 30 Lac GTD Mega Suits, which drew a strong field with a total of 549 entries yesterday. After a long grind of over 9 hours, it was 2017 WSOP gold bracelet winner Aditya Sushant who emerged victorious.
Sushant beat a good reg Aditya Chaudhary aka ‘cash9hai’ in the heads-up battle to take home INR 7,20,000. The runner-up Chaudhary settled for a cool INR 4,20,000 as his second place prizemoney.
Sushant is a big name both in online and live circuit. He has been playing on Adda52 for several years now and his journey has been amazing. Sushant is well-known for his Adda52 Millions wins.
Sushant shipped Millions back-to-back in April 2018 and then followed up these scores with a yet another Millions win in June 2018. Some of his other major scores in 2018 included his win in Hitman, Judwaa (twice) and Godfather 4.0, plus runner-up finish in Beast, Godfather 5.0, Whale, Roar, Blaze and Godfather 7.0. While he has final-tabled almost all key tourneys on Adda52, it was his first Mega Suits FT. First time, he ran deep in this event and got better than a min-cash.
Talking about his first Mega Suits win, Sushant said, “First time, I ran deep in this tournament and got better than a min cash. So, obviously it feels good to win it. It was 1st time that I final-tabled it.”
Speaking about the Mega Suits value and structure, he said, “I like the tourney. It’s not as big as it used to be but is still pretty good value and the structure is better than I had thought it to be.”
Talking about his tournament journey, Sushant said, “I entered the final table 6th or 7th in chips and quickly ended up becoming shortest. But in typical me fashion, once I started to accumulate and went on my run, there was no stopping for me. I got unlucky a couple of times, including once in heads up where I had him down and he (Aditya Chaudhary) ended up getting a big double-up. But neither really set me back and in the end, it was nice to win a feature not called ‘Adda52 Millions’ for a change.”
Top 55 players were paid out in this particular tournament. Some notables to cash were Tathagata Sengupta aka ‘minter’ (7th for INR 75,000), ‘neeljoshi23’ (8th for INR 60,000), Mukesh Surana aka ‘mukesh2704’ (10th for INR 37,500), Adda52 Team Pro and 2018 WSOP bracelet winner Nikita Luther aka ‘nikitaluther’(13th for INR 30,000) who also finished 5th in the recent Godfather 7.0, Willson Yomso aka ‘Kaling’ (14th for INR 30,000), Siddharth Karia aka ‘skaria1’ (28th for INR 19,500), Ashish Munot aka ‘ragspoker’ (30th for INR 19,500), Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘ImHighIshove’ (31st for INR 19,500), ‘sweatmyass13’ (37th for INR 16,500), ‘narcoss’ (55th for INR 13,500).
