WSOP 2019: Only 7 Remain in PLO Omaha Bounty; Lamba, Sushant & Patni Scored ITM Finishes

Event #78:$1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty of the WSOP 2019 drew a total of 1,130 entries and generated a whopping $1,525,500. The starting field narrowed down to just 42 by the end of Day 2.

From Team India, there Indians – Adda52 Celebrity pro Minissha Lamba, WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant, and Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni were among the 247 contenders who had returned for Day 2, but they all got busted before the end of the day’s play. The first to exit among the three was none other than Patni who finished 132nd for $1,469. This was Patni’s sixth cash at the ongoing series. His best score from the series had come when he finished 56^th for $7,219 in the Colossus, which was taken down by South Korea’s Sejin Park for $451,272 in top prizemoney.

The next to fall was Chennai Pro Sushant, and he finished 113th for $1,551. For Sushant, it was the 7^th cash from this year’s series and his best score at this WSOP edition had come in the WSOP 2019 $ 1,000 No Limit Hold’em (Event #28) where he finished 13^th for $ 17,409. Among the trio, Lamba ran deepest, exiting the tournament in 64^th place for $2,266. It was Lamba’s second score at the WSOP series, with her first score of $5,005 coming in the WSOP 2019 Monster Stack (Event #50).

Day 3 of the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty saw 42 players return with the intent to play down to a winner, but after another 10 levels of play, 7 players remained in the field and they will be returning for an extra day to battle it out for the top prize of $177,823 and the a coveted gold bracelet. While each of the remaining 7 is guaranteed at least $22,391 but they all will be eyeing the top prize.

Among the 7 survivors, it was Maximilian Klostermeier who started the day with 554,000 chips and ended with 10,240,000. Following him in chips is David Callaghan holding 5,250,000 in chips.
