The 2019 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Europe Triton €100K Super High Roller drew a field of 32 entries and generated prize pool of $3,404,800 USD. After 2 days of intense action, it was the Turkish businessman Orpen Kisacikoglu who won the title for €1,040,000 ($1,164,800). While Kisacikoglu is a recreational player, he has now reached 55 live cashes in his career, totaling more than $4 million.
The final day of the super high roller event began with 18 players in the field and registration open for the first level of play. Leading the remaining players into final day was Igor Kurganov but things did not go in Kurganov’s favour and he was unfortunately eliminated on the bubble in seventh place. It took just 5 hours for the field to be whittled down to the final six, all of whom were in the money.
Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Kristen Bicknell was the first player eliminated in the money. She ran her A-3 into the pocket aces of Kisacikoglu and got busted. She earned €213,000 for her sixth-place finish. Just 20 minutes later, Cary Katz hit the rail. He called from HJ with 8d 7c and Vladimir Troyanovskiy checked his big blind with Qd 6d. The flop ran 5s 3d 2d where Katz shoved all-in and was check-called by Troyanovskiy. The 10s and 4s gave Troyanovskiy a straight to bust Katz in fifth place.
Wai Kin Yong has been on a massive heater especially over the last week. He shipped the Triton SHR Main Event in London for $3,154,064 and then finished 2nd in the Short Deck Main Event two days later for $2,232,740. He was close to adding another runner-up finish but had to settle for fourth place. Yong shoved his last 3 bigs holding Qs 9d, which could not hold up against Ben Heath’s Qd 10c.
The next to fall was Heath himself. It was Kisacikoglu who shoved all-in for 1,710,000 with 2d 2s and Heath called with Ad 10c. The flop came down Jc 10s 2h and it gave Kisacikoglu a bottom set. The turn and river came down Qs and 6d and Heath was eliminated in third place.
Troyanovskiy and Kisacikoglu entered heads-up and battled it out for over one hour. On the final hand, Troyanovskiy raised to 250,000 holding 9h 8h and Kisacikoglu called with 10h 8d. The flop ran 8s 3d 2s and Kisacikoglu check-shoved after Troyanovskiy bet 300,000. The Russian pro called for his last 2,800,000 and couldn’t improve as the turn and river came Jd and Ks. He was eliminated in second place. Troyanovskiy earned a good €710,000 for his runner-up finish in the tournament.
