Finally, The Indian Poker Series (TIPS) Season 3 that took place from 3-10 February at King’s Casino in Rozvadov in collaboration with the Spanish Poker Festival (SPF) is in the books with Israel’s Alexey Mishuk taking down the Main Event title for a hefty €58,765, which he earned after a three-way deal with Antonino Karman (runner-up for €34,605) and Alexander Sazhinov (3rd place for €24,338).
The TIPS SPF Main Event pulled in a total of 1,718 entries to eventually crush the advertised guarantee and create €359,062 in prize pool, which was distributed among top 175 finishers.
The Final day of the event began with 17 runners returning to battle it out for the title. Spain’s Yeray Maestre Perez held a massive chip lead of 13.70 Million chips and was much ahead of the eventual champion Alexey Mishuk who held the third-best stack of 7.52 Million at the start of the day.
It turned out to be a great day for Alexey Mishuk who steadily built his tack to eventually reach the final table with the second largest stack of 16,000,000 chips, behind the FT chip leader José Nasla (17,000,000). At the final table as well, Mishuk did pretty well and went to outlast everyone to win the title. Down to five-handed play, he took over the chip lead to finally reach three-handed play where all the remaining three players struck a deal. The heads-up took place between Antonino Karman who fought well but could not go all the way, eventually finishing runner-up in the event.
The last hand of the event saw 7h 6s and Mishuk with Ac 5c. The board ran out 4c 3s 2s Ad 10c where the Israeli player Mishuk claimed the coveted title and a hefty €58,765 in the top prize.
