After five days of gruelling action, the Wynn Spring Classic $1,600 buy-in NLH $1 Million GTD is in the books with Kevin Buck defeating a strong field of 687 entries to win the title for $166,837.
Buck entered the final day with the fifth largest stack but chipped up well to stage a comeback. He eventually reached the heads-up play with Justin Bond, who fought well but unfortunately missed out on the coveted title after his As 5c lost to 10d 6d on a run-out of Ks 4s 2h 6c 6c. It ended with a heads-up deal between the two, with Buck earning $166,837 and Bond settling for $146,837.
“I just ran good. Made hands at the right time. That was pretty much it,” Buck said after his win.
Top 71 were paid with a min-cash of $3,760 and some of the notables among them were Charles Davis (17th for $10,550), James Hundt (19th for $9,174), Brian Yoon (20th for $9,174), Shannon Shorr (27th for $6,998), Richard Bai (29th for $6,117), Dylan Wilkerson (32nd for $6,117), and so on.
