The Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to force global poker brands to move their events online. One of the world’s most popular brands, the World Poker Tour (WPT) has extended its online MTT options to France and Spain by announcing the first set of WPTDeepStacks events, which will be taking place on partypoker.fr and partypoker.es. This was announced on 31st March by the WPT.
Both series are the first to take place on the platforms of partpoker, which is licensed to offer games in both France and Spain. The action begins in France and Spain on April 5 and goes on till April 20.
The series runs as one across both networks of partypoker. The Spanish WPTDeepStacks online series will feature a €2.5 million guarantee across 44 MTTs for the players in Spain. On the other hand, French poker players can look forward to 47 tournaments, including three three high-rollers. The extra events means players in France will be able to compete for €2.8 million in total guarantee.
In Spain, players can look forward to events with buy-ins ranging from €2 to €250 and the final day will feature buy-ins of €5, €50 and €250 with €20,000, €200,000 and €500,000, respectively.
French players will have higher buy-ins options, ranging from €2 to €2,000. For them, there will be three high rollers at €500, €1,000, and €2,000 buy-in level, and all three feature a €100,000 guarantee.
All French players competing on partypoker can also look forward to an exclusive Last Longer Promotion. Three seats worth up to €1,500 for WPTDeepStacks events will be awarded to the winners of side events who last longest across the three Main Events in the respective buy-in levels. The player who lasts the longest out of that pool, will win a WPTDeepStacks Main Event seat in a live tournament with partypoker LIVE of their choice, up to €1,500.
“WPTDeepStacks and partypoker are bringing wonderful new tournaments for online players in France and Spain,” said Hermance Blum, VP Europe. “The online partnership between WPT and partypoker continues to grow, and these events are the latest step in giving players the option to play on the World Poker Tour from home.”
