The inaugural WPT Online Series is well underway at partypoker. The series boasts a staggering $35 million in guarantees over 10 Championship events and a line up of side events. The online festival kicked off on May 3 and will continue till May 20. More than a dozen of tourneys are already in the books with plenty of events lined up. The series has seen over a dozen of winners so far but the most prominent among them include Leo Fernandez, Pascal Hartmann and Sam Greenwood.
Sam Greenwood Wins Event #11 $10,300 High Roller
Canada’s Sam Greenwood is one of the bests in the game. This past Thursday, he topped a 105-entry field in Event #11 $10,300 High Roller to win $257,250. He outlasted Matthias Eibinger in heads-up who settled $183,750. Rui Ferreira finished third for $131,250. Greenwood was also in contention for the title in Event #14 $25,500 Super High Roller.Unfortunately, his run ended in 9th place for $61,250.
The total field of the event resulted in a whopping $1,050,000 prizepool. Some other notables ending their run on the FT were Jorma Nuutien (4th for $91,875 and Alexandru Papazian (5th for $68,250).

Pascal Hartmann Takes Down Event #9 $5,200 High Roller
Wednesday saw more intense WPT Online Series action and there were several big winners crowned during the day. The most prominent among them all was Austria’s Pascal Hartmann who won the $5,200 High Roller for $205,826, after outlasting a strong field of 225 entries that generated a $1.125 million prize pool. On his way to the victory, he outlasted a tough final table that featured big names like Christoph Vogelsang, Mikita Badziakouski, Kristen Bicknell, and Farid Jattin. Eventually, Hartmann entered heads-up with Dimitar Danchev who eventually finished runner-up for $190,060.98.

Leo Fernandez Wins Event #1 Opener $5,200 NLHE
The inaugural World Poker Tour Online series started well for Leo Fernandez. The Argentinian kicked off the series in style by winning Event #1 Opener $5,200 NLHE on May 4 for $409,638 in top prize.
Fernandez topped a 497-entry field, including Zachary Clark who clashed with him in heads-up and eventually finished as the runner-up for $291,636.73. Among other notables who final-tabled the event included the likes of Joey Weissman (3rd for $199,929) and Istvan Birizdo (4th for $139,081).
With a total of 497 entries, the event did reasonably well and created $2,173,150 in the prizepool.
