Breaking its previous record, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Online Series 2nd Edition concluded on a successful note this past Sunday on Natural8. The 15-day long festival that promised $10 million ran from 14 June to 28 June. It was the richest and biggest APT online festival, paying out over 10 million dollars. It wrapped up with the $1 gtd Million APT Online Championships Event that was taken down by Natural8 Ambassador and Taiwanese Pro Pete Chen for a whopping $113,844 in prize money!
Championships Event $1 million GTD
Running from 25 to 28 June, the $800 buy-in Championships Event $1 million GTD pulled in 1,352 entries to collect a prize pool of $1.02 million. The final day saw 302 survivors battling for the title, with top 188 players of them sharing the prizepool. Coming out on top of the field was Taiwanese Pro Pete Chen aka ‘TurboPete’ who secured $113,844 for his victory after a three-way deal with ‘SpicyChknSangy’ (2nd -$139,015) and ‘Donsky10’ who ended up in third place for $107,449.

Asian pro Lester Edoc aka ‘mon$terDad’ emerged the winner in the Short Deck Championship on Natural8. The $400 buy-in event saw a total field of 143 entrants and top 20 finished in the money. Edoc claimed APT trophy and $11,089 joining ‘TurboPete’ joining elite list of players with two wins.

The Progressive Bounty $50k GTD drew 279 runners for $210 buy-in to generate a prize pool of $55K that was shared by top 47 players. Taking home the lion’s chunk of prize pool was ‘McDavid97’ who banked $15,941 and $10,664 in bounties. He defeated ‘Winna118’ in heads-up who also claimed $10,464 bounties. India’s ‘sagarpupul’ finished 3rd for $4K and an extra $1,556 in bounties.
