On Wednesday, the 2020 WSOP Online awarded its 10th bracelet on GGPoker to the Canadian pro Kristen Bicknell who had won the Ladies Event in 2013 for her first WSOP bracelet and the $1,500 NLHE Bounty event in 2016 for her second. Bicknell, who also had won the GPI Female Player of the Year (POY) title for the third straight time last year, outlasted a tough field of 892 players in Event #44: $2,500 NLHE 6-Handed to claim her third bracelet and $356,412 in prize money. She defeated Brazil’s Belarmino “Iseey0urcard” De Souza (runner-up for $261,249) in HU to claim the title.
The final table of the tournament featured some prominent players in Ilya Anatsky (3rd for $191,494), Dong “nuoyani” Jiang (4th for $140,365), Simon Higgins (5th for $102,887), Jerome “gorgiAAs” Finck, (6th for $75,416), Patrick “Pepsi_zero” Semrau (7th for $55,280), Paul “Doduckduck” Barnes (8th for $40,520), and Nikita “SanyaRostov” Kalinin who eventually exited in 9th place for $29,701).
The tournament generated a $2,118,500 prize pool that was eventually shared by top 116 players. Natural8 Team Hot Ambassador Pete Chen bubbled the tournament in 117th place to leave the remaining survivors in the money for at least $6,022. Some other notables to finish deep were Danny Tang (21st for $11,697), Ben Affleck (15th for $15,958),Norbert ‘ElCabanero’ Szecsi (14th for $15,958), and Christopher Kruk who was busted in 10th place by Ilya Anatsky, setting up the FT.
