Event #45: $840 Bounty NLH event of the ongoing 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online on GGPoker and Natural8 drew a total of 2,382 entries, resulting in a $1,906,500 prize pool. The winner of the tournament was United Kingdom’s Patrick “Muddington” Kennedy who eliminated five players from the FT to clinch his first bracelet and $245,448 that included $104,680 in bounties!
Starting the final table in pole position, Kennedy played a role of an eliminator, busting five players from the FT, namely Francesco “Pachamama” Favia, Arie “abush” Kliper, Franco “pelaguacha” Spitale and the runner-up Joshua “kaledak” Pollock. A two-time WSOP bracelet winner, Pollock fought hard in heads-up but could not go all the way eventually settling for $113,176 in second-place prize.
The heads-up saw Patrick “Muddington” Kennedy (46,146,904) holding a dominating chip lead over Joshua “kaledak” Pollock (13,403,096). Despite starting out with a huge chip deficit, the two-time WSOP bracelet winner Pollock fought hard. He even took a slight lead at one point but lost it to the latter very quickly. The final hand saw Pollock with pocket tens and Kennedy with pocket jacks. The board 3-7-5-7-Q changed nothing and Kennedy’s higher pocket pair won him the coveted title.
Some of the notables to finish in the money included Jie “MTT0516” Wu (11th for $7,229), Blaaz “Sc4rm4k3r” Azerjav (12th for $7,229), Kazuki “8809” Ikeuchi (13th for $7,229), Gabi “kidrurim” Livshitz (16th for $5,198), Yuri Dzivielevski (17th for $5,198), Andres “chokitin” Korn (18th for $3,738), Rodrigo “Kripitonita” Pfeifer (31st for $2,687) and Michael “YesPlease” Clacher (36th for $2,687).
