On Tuesday night, the 2020 WSOP Online wrapped up its Event #28: $1,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 6-Max on WSOP.com. The tournament drew a 525-entry field to create a $498,750 prize pool. After 12 hours of play, it was Connecticut’s William “SlaweelRyam” Romaine who came out on top to win $110,672.62 and his first bracelet. He defeated Mark “victb” Ioli (2nd for $68,478) in heads-up to claim the title.
This was Romaine’s second final table finish at the ongoing series as he had finished runner-up in Event #13: $1,500 High Roller Freezeout two weeks ago for $110,979. He has $234,614 in live cashes with a career-best $142,215 that had come for a 61st place finish in the 2019 WSOP Main Event.
Ralph “sosana” Perry (7th – $10,673.25) bubbled the final table. Some other notables to finish ITM in the tournament were the three -time bracelet winner Upeshka “gomezhamburg” De Silva (9th for $7,880.25), Norman “normanchad” Chad (13th for $4,638.37), Ryan “protential” Laplante (22nd for $3,690.75), Erica “huckcheevers” Lindgren (30th for $2,992.50), Ryan “im.sorry” Torgersen (38th for $2,144.62), Eric “circleball” Baldwin (59th for $1,695.75), and Brian “tsarrast” Rast (69th for $1,596).
Final Table
“NJ_FittyFish” was the first player to exit the FT and he was eliminated by William “SlaweelRyam” Romaine. Following him fifth and fourth places were Kyle “Ksparks740” Sparks and“Chippingggup”. “Chippingggup” was also eliminated by Romaine whose next victim became “kheescoopym” who had entered the FT with a massive lead but ultimately finished in third-place in the tournament.
Going into the heads-up, Romaine held 4.64 Million in chips against Mark “victb” Ioli’s 3.23 Million, and it took the former just a few minutes to win the coveted title and a $110,673 in top prizemoney.
