Day 9 of the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) was another day of intense poker action. Hundreds of the game’s elite grinders took to the table to chase big scores in the 9 Crore GTD series. Walking away with the biggest score was the well-known pro Kartik Ved who shipped the 50 Lac GTD AOPS Holdem High Roller for INR 14 Lac). Sumit Sapra (AOPS Holdem High Roller runner-up for INR 8.40 Lac) and Goonjan Mall (won the 10 Lac GTD AOPS NLHE for INR 2.77 Lac) featured among other big winners. Shashank Jain (283,625) ended up Day 1D of the 2.5 Crore GTD AOPS Main Event with the second largest stack, while Ankur Sehgal (315,950) emerged as the chip leader at the end of Day 1E.
2.5 Crore GTD AOPS Main Event – Day 1D & DE
The star attraction of the series, the 2.5 Crore GTD AOPS Main Event, played out two more starting flights yesterday, Day 1D and Day 1E. Day 1D pulled in only 88 runners, and only 8 of them survived. It was anonymous user ‘Eurekaaira’ who ended up the flight as the chip leader with 340,442 chips. Following him in chips were Shashank ‘felter’ Jain (283,625) and Deepak ‘orionn7’ Raina (235,629).
The second flight of the AOPS Main Event on Day 9, Day 1E did pretty well, drawing in a total of 204 entries. Following after 29 levels of play, only 21 players survived to make it to the event’s finale on Sunday. Leading them was Ankur ‘aceleration’ Sehgal (315,950), with Prabhat ‘nagarbhavininja’ Kiran Mukherjea (309,530) and Shekhar ‘Brat_Poker’ Singh (287,909) being among other big stacks.
50 Lac GTD AOPS Holdem High Roller
The 50 Lac GTD AOPS Holdem High Roller featuring 27500 buy-in attracted a field of 194 entries. It was the well-known pro Kartik ‘Pegasus1505’ Ved who took it down after outlasting the veteran pro Sumit ‘hammer_head’ Sapra (runner-up for INR 8.40 Lac) in HU to bank his personal best INR 14 Lac.
Other notable regs to finish deep were Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (3rd for INR 6.35 Lac), Vaibhav ‘alienrobot’ Sharma (4th for INR 4.50 Lac), Tarun ‘aggtarun’ Goyal (5th for INR 3.13 Lac), Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma (6th for INR 2.25 Lac), Ankur ‘aceleration’ Sehgal (7th for INR 1.88 Lac), Uttam ‘chinunew’ Kumar Sinha (8th for INR 1.38 Lakhs), and Anurag ‘sangahi’ Sangahi (9th for INR 1.13 Lac).

The 10 Lac GTD AOPS NLHE featuring a buy-in of just INR 2500 drew 507 entries to collect INR 11.53 Lac prize pool. Coming out on top was the well-known MTT grinder Goonjan ‘gmtesting’ Mall who outlasted Abhishek ‘thegrinder’ Garg (runner-up for INR 1.61 Lac) to pocket 2.77 Lac in the top prize.
