The wait is over! Poker players from across the country will be descending on Adda52.com for the 2.5 Crore GTD WPT India Main Event kicking off today at 7PM and running till 22nd November. There has been a lot of buzz around the most prestigious tournament of the ongoing WPT Online India (WPTOI) series and we are expecting a record-breaking turnout with many new faces, regs and several big name players attending it, including Adda52 Team Celebrity Pro Minissha Lamba.
Bollywood actress, Minissha Lamba, who joined Adda52 as a Celebrity Pro in 2017, has been thoroughly enjoying her poker journey and her stint with Adda52. Known for films like ‘Yahaan’ (debut film 2005), ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ (2008) ‘Kidnap’ (2008), ‘Well Done Abba’ (2009) and ‘Bheja Fry 2’ (2011), the Delhi girl has come a long way in her poker career. She first got highlighted in 2011 when she finished 4th in the 15K Weekend Kickoff Tournament at the India Poker Championship.
Since 2011, she has been working hard on her game and it is showing in her results. She has been doing pretty well, making deep runs across several DPT, WPT India and other big events. She has already won the DPT Ladies Event and has made deep runs across several prestigious tournaments.
In April 2018, she notched up a runner-up finish in the DPT Colossus 50K Warm-Up for INR 5,73,700 and was the 2nd runner-up in the DPT Colossus 200K High Roller for INR 14,36,000. The same year in July, she scored a 14th place finish in the DPT High Roller. Continuing her good form in 2018, she then went on to finish runner-up in the WPT India High Roller to claim her best live score of INR 23,63,000. 2019 saw her cashing two WSOP tournaments in Las Vegas and making deep runs across a couple of tournaments held in Goa. In 2020, she went on to participate in the WSOP Online at GG Poker and cashed two tournaments at the series. She is now all set and excited for the 2.5 Crore GTD WPT India Main Event.
