The much-awaited Adda52 Tournament of Champions (ATOC) featuring a massive INR 8 Crore GTD prize pool kicked off yesterday on Delta Corp’s market-leading poker site, Adda52.com. The opening day of the series saw a total of 2,442 entries resulting in a whopping prize money of INR 75,28,284. .
A total of nine winners were crowned on the first day of the series and walking away with the single biggest score was none other than the online poker phenom Gaurav Sood. The top-ranked player of 2020 championed the first of two trophy events of the day, winning the 30 Lac GTD ATOC Thursday Feature for INR 7.20 Lac. Banking the second biggest score of the day was Chandigarh-based pro Ashish Ahuja who championed the second trophy event of the day – 30 Lac GTD ATOC Gladiator. He banked INR 6.66 Lac after a heads-up deal with Kanchan Sharma (runner-up for INR 6.37 Lac).
30 Lac GTD ATOC Thursday Feature
Headlining the day’s action were two 30 Lac GTD trophy tourneys. The first of the two, the ATOC Thursday Feature, began at 8 PM. The INR 5,500 entry buy-in tourney attracted total of 522 entries by the time late registration closed. Coming out on top of the star-studded field was the poker prodigy, Gaurav “gauravarod” Sood, who championed the marquee tourney for a hefty INR 7.20 Lac. Anmol “anzzzzz” Mehta finished runner-up and walked away with INR 4.20 Lac prize money.

The other trophy tourney of the day, the ATOC Gladiator, also featured a 30 Lac guarantee. Starting at 9:30 PM, the INR 15,000 buy-in tourney saw a field of 215 entrants and outlasting them all was the lawyer-turned poker pro in Ashish “rocky3705” Ahuja. He banked an impressive INR 6.66 Lac, following a heads-up deal with Kanchan “thandicoke” Sharma (finished runner-up for INR 6.37 Lac).

3 Lac GTD ATOC Icarus
Sandeep “2EZ4Me” Chauhan topped a field of 134 players in the 3 Lac GTD ATOC Icarus to win INR 78,000. He defeated Danish “king0fmerge” Shaikh who banked INR 46,500 for his runner-up finish.
