The second edition of the WPT Online India (WPTOI), offering a jaw-dropping INR 25 Crores in guaranteed prizes across 250 + events, has completed its first week on Adda52.com. Sunday marked Day 8 of the marquee festival and it saw an impressive 4,306 entries coming in to crush the day’s overall INR 93.4 Lac guarantee and generate a whopping INR 97.48 Lac in the prize pool for the day.
Day 8 of the series had a packed 11 events, out of which nine crowned champions. Stealing the spotlight were the online MTT crushers in Rony Chowdhury, Anant Purohit, and Ashish Ahuja as they championed the day’s trophy events. Chowdhury was the top scorer as he took down the day’s headliner, the 30 Lac GTD WPT Super Stack, to earn a hefty INR 7.65 Lac and his first WPT Trophy. Purohit was the last player standing in the 20 Lac GTD WPT India Bounty Championship and won INR 7.35 Lac and his second career WPT title on Adda52.com. Ahuja, who had won the 30 Lac GTD WPT Gladiator on 5th August, shipped the 15 Lac GTD WPT 3000 for INR 3.96 Lac to pick up his second trophy at the ongoing WPTOI series. Overall, this was Ahuja’s career third WPT Trophy on Adda52!

30 Lac GTD WPT Super Stack (Buy-in INR 5500)
Several big guaranteed events graced the second Sunday of the WPT Online India, including three trophy events. The biggest of the three trophy events on the schedule was the 30 Lac GTD WPT Super Stack. Starting at 7:30 PM, the INR 5500 buy-in tourney drew a packed field with 595 entries and outlasting them all to win it was the online MTT crusher Rony “fish4life” Chowdhury who earned a hefty INR 7.65 Lac and his first WPT trophy. Sumit “runrabbitrun” Advani (2nd for INR 4,35,000) & Ashwin “Ashwinvijay1399” Vijay (3rd for 2,98,500) rounded out the podium finishers.
1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal (Buy-in INR 499)
Running alongside the WPT Super Stack was the 1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal. Offering an unheard-of INR 1 Crore in guaranteed prize money for a mere INR 499 buy-in, the historic event played host to its 8th flight that registered an impressive 554 entries. By the end of the flight, only 67 players made it to Day 2. Mohan ‘drunkboy’ Singh (473,819 chips), ‘harshsingh006a’ (456,991),’AnachronoX’ (303,3777) ‘aakashbansal’ (276,483) & ‘molasba’ (255,672) topped the day-end chip counts.
50 Lac GTD WPT Mini Main Event 1A (Buy-in INR 999)
Sunday also marked the start of the much-awaited 50 Lac GTD WPT Mini Main Event. The opening flight of the INR 999 buy-in tourney, Day 1A, pulled in a total of 232 entrants. By the end of the day, only 20 players made it to Day 2. The mystery player ‘rraja007’ (428,053) bagged the end of the day chip lead, while ‘Biplob “hellhell” Rana’ (299,145), ‘punjabimunda7489’ (294,355 chips), ‘Kunal “Kunotaguero” Yadav’ (283,903) & ‘spanks’ (264,222) rounded out the top five stacks of the day.
20 Lac GTD WPT India Bounty Championship (Buy-in INR 11,000)
Coming back to the trophy events that did crown champions last night. The second biggest trophy event on Day 8 of the WPTOI series, the 20 Lac GTD WPT India Bounty Championship was a grand success as the INR 11K buy-in tourney recorded 306 entries to crush its guarantee and create a prize pool of INR 23.56 Lac that was shared by the top 34 players. Coming out on top of the field was the online MTT beast Anant “pro_baba” Purohit who eventually outlasted Arjanveer “arjan30” Singh Chadha (2nd for INR 4,14,875) to win INR 7.35 Lac and his second career WPT title on Adda52.com.
15 Lac GTD WPT 3000 (Buy-in INR 3000)
The third trophy of the day was awarded in the 15 Lac GTD WPT 3000 that drew 559 entries to surpass its listed guarantee and create a prizepool of INR 15.52 Lac. Walking away with the title was Thursday’s WPT Gladiator champion Ashish “rocky3705” Ahuja who took away INR 3.96 Lac after prevailing over Dhinesh “dinzy009” Kumar (runner-up for INR 2.25 Lac) in the heads-up play!
10 Lac GTD WPT Monster Turbo (Buy-in INR 2500)
Vishal ‘darky012’ Ojha came out on top of a 428-entry field to take down the 10 Lac GTD WPT Monster Turbo title last night. He eventually outlasted the online MTT reg Aniket ‘WhiteRabbit’ Sharma (runner-up for INR 1.50 Lac) in the heads-up play to earn the top prize worth INR 2.62 Lac.
8 Lac GTD WPT Lazy Sunday (Buy-in INR 1750)
The WPT Lazy Sunday was shipped by Saturday’s WPT Mini 6-Max champion Rajesh ‘rajesh_asi’ Kumar Shukla for INR 1.98 Lac, while Suresh ‘insanium’ Kolli finished runner-up for INR 1.20 Lac.
The mystery player ‘ShamalDas’ (Won 4 Lac GTD WPT Classic for INR 1 Lac), ‘Ranzoo9’ (Won 3 Lac GTD WPT Late Night PKO for INR 83,357), ‘jamesdaniel007′ (Won 2 Lac GTD WPT Daily Warmup for INR 43,771), ‘bubba88’ (Won 1.4 Lac GTD WPT Battlefield for INR 36,400), and ‘khoirom123’ (Won 30K GTD WPT PLO for INR 8,700) were the other MTT players who bagged WPTOI titles on Sunday.
