Two days after final tabling the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, Josh Arieh won his fourth career WSOP bracelet and second of 2021 WSOP. On Wednesday, Arieh fell one spot short of making the final day of the Poker Players Championship, finishing sixth for $161,422. After his bustout, Arieh entered Event #66: $10K pot-limit Omaha hi-lo championship. He finished Day 1 with one of the larger stacks and eventually bested the 208-entry field to win the title and $484,791.
The latest win is the continuation of a strong series for Arieh. He has cashed five times thus far, including three final tables and two victories. Slightly more than two weeks ago, Arieh won his third gold bracelet in the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha event for $204,766. He is the third player to win multiple gold bracelets at the ongoing WSOP series, joining the likes of Kevin Gerhart and Anthony Zinno.
Arieh entered the final table with the second-biggest stack. While he could bust only two players, he dominated the action for the majority of the final day`s play. Going into the heads-up battle, Arieh held over 7,295,000 in chips against Chang’s 5,305,000, and within 30 minutes, he took it down.
On the final hand, Danny Chang moved all-in with As Ks 5h 2c, and Arie called with Qs 6s 5d 4d. The board ran out 9d 6h 3c 2h Ah, giving Arieh a wheel and a six-high straight to take down the pot and eliminate Chang in second. The latter had to settle for the runner-up payout worth $299,627.
