Hey guys!
Now that the Adda52 ‘Series of Legends’ Poker Tournament is up and running, I am super excited to play poker games with you in this unique series from 13th to 19th December. However, I want you to refine your poker sword too so you can compete with me and other Pros at the tables.
After all, who does not like to win from the 2.68 GTD prize pool, right? Trust me! You would not want to miss this golden chance!
Remember how you used to feel right before an important exam in school? Well, it is normal to feel similar jitters before this Tournament too! But let me take you through the important strategies or tactics that I have grasped throughout my poker journey so you can learn from my learnings.
Are you ready to play with me or more so – knock me out in my own tournament to win Rs. 5000 and many more exciting rewards? Let’s start!
Do not bet what you cannot afford to lose
When I was an amateur player, I was fascinated by the idea of betting higher and playing on bigger tables. However, very soon I realized this – do not ever bet the money you cannot afford to lose! It is one piece of advice that I want you to learn by heart. Even when you feel confident about your skills, start with smaller bets and know how to set your bankroll limits. Before playing your next game, take a deep breath and then a short break to rejuvenate your mind so you take better betting decisions and play without any stress.
Choose your poker hands wisely
It can be tempting to play every hand, especially if you are a novice player. However, remember it will always do more harm than good! You must know the line between strong hands and weak hands because if you play all your hands, regardless of their strength, you are bound to go beyond your bankroll limits and are ultimately going to lose a lot of money. It is only wise to fold your weak hands and play the strong ones (for example, big pairs). It is all about refining your post-flop skills. However, I know it can feel like a hard nut to crack sometimes but it is only a matter of time before you learn to discipline yourself.
Too many cooks (tables) will spoil the broth (game)
In short, do not play on multiple tables, especially if you are a beginner. I am telling you – instead of playing on multiple tables and losing your focus, try concentrating on just one! Do not give in to your temptation and instincts, rather play in a more logical way and get ready to win like never before
Understand about Pot Odds
Do you consider yourself a poker beginner? Well, when I was an amateur, I thought I could not win in poker without being a Maths expert but I was wrong! However, on the same side, I must let you know that it is still extremely important to learn how to calculate your Pot Odds. For those of you who do not know, Pot odds is the percentage of what a player is putting into a pot to the odds of his winning a hand. Do not ignore these calculations if you want to be adept at this real cash game!
Now that you know how to strategize your game, why don’t you join me (or beat me) in this one-of-a-kind Series of Legends?
Come to the poker table and show your skills… I am waiting and so are your rewards!
