While Indians have been dominating the scene on the live felts in South Asia, a handful of Indian players are making splash across tournaments in Europe and US. Currently in the spotlight is Arsh Grover. Of late, the Delhi boy has been playing tournaments in Sin City. On August 24, he made headlines for shipping Event #42: $400 NLH MonsterStack of the DeepStack Showdown Series at the Venetian poker room. He earned the DeepStack Showdown Bronze coin and $9,100 in top prize.
Grover enjoyed a decent run at the 2022 WSOP as well, cashing out over $23,976. His best score had come in the Main Event where he finished 803rd for $ 19,000. He also had a few deep runs outside of the 2022 WSOP as well and picked up a couple of decent scores in the $500 NLHE WPT Venetian Resort Las Vegas (84th place for $11,150) at the Venetian DeepStack Championship Series, and Event #131: $2,500 NLHE – The Grand Finale (33rd place for $9,515) at the MGM Grand Summer Series.
Talking about his latest MTT victory to PokerGuru, Grover said, “It feels good to win a live tournament after a while. It was a pretty small turnout as it was a 1-day event (85-90 players played).”
