Jack Hardcastle achieved yet another feat by shipping the Goliath X GUKPT Main Event in Coventry for a six-figure score. Hardcastle won the GUKPT Leeds Main Event just last year and has now become a two-time GUKPT champion after besting a 549-field in this £1,000 buy-in tournament.
The strong turnout for the event resulted in £494,100 prize pool that was shared among the top 47 finishers. Ireland’s Eoin Starr was the first player to finish in the money. Starr earned £1,900. Six of the players who navigated their way to the final table saw five figures hit their bank account.
Lorenc Boci, who won the £1,000 888Poker Cup in London in April 2022, finished 7th for £10,900 before Dayne Tinnuche claimed the £14,700 6th-place prize, which is a career-best for him.
The 5th-place and £20,400 went to Mitchell Hynam. Francis Obadun reeled in his second-largest career cash, one worth £31,300 for his 4th place finish. The ever-popular Yucel Eminoglu scooped the £50,750 for placing 3rd in this tournament. Eminoglu’s untimely demise left Hardcastle heads-up against Liverpool’s John Adderley. Hardcastle got the job done and relegated Adderley to a second place for £85,400. Hardcastle walked away with his second GUKPT title and £125,400 in prize money.
