Indians are making a huge splash at the U Series of Poker (USOP) Hanoi 2023 running at the Crown Poker Club in Hanoi, Vietnam. Following in the footsteps of WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer who had kicked off India’s campaign with a win in the Mini Highroller, it is now Arjanveer Singh Chadha grabbing the spotlight. He has won his first live title by shipping Event 33 Megastack.
He shared the good news news via his Instagram. Chadha, who had previously shared the news of him making the final table, made Day 2 with a stack of 431,000 and played some top notch poker to turn the game in his favour and finally ship the Megastack title for a hefty VND 372,000,000.
It was a two-day event held from September 10 and 11, 2023. With a buy-in of VND 11,000,000 and a guarantee of VND 1,000,000,000 (USD 41,550), the tournament exceeded expectations, bringing in 138 (101 unique) participants and generating VND 1,338,600,000 (USD 55,619) in total prizepool, which was eventually split among the top 17 players. Apart from Arjanveer Singh Chadha, India’s Munsaf Meherzad also cashed in the event, finishing 16th and pocketing VND 24,000,000.
