The 2023 U Series of Poker (USOP) Da Nang set between 17-27 November is now in full swing. Team India, having already secured a trophy with Amit Kaushik clinching his first USOP Title in Event #5: VN₫ 3.4 Million Turbo, is consistently making splash in the series. Continuing the momentum for the team is Rohit Begwani, who secured second place in Event #26: VN₫ 4.50 Million Turbo event. He walked away with VN₫ 46.90 Million ( INR 1.61 Lac), which is his highest live tournament score.
Malaysia’s Liew Yew Tong emerged victorious in Event #26: VN₫ 4.50 Million Turbo, clinching the USOP trophy and VN₫ 79 Million in prize money. The tournament took place on November 21, and drew a field of 55 hopefuls (44 unique), taking the prize pool to a massive VN₫ 213.40 Million.
The heads-up saw Malaysia’s Liew Yew Tong pitting against Rohit Begwani. Despite Begwani’s valiant effort, Tong shipped the title, pocketing an impressive VN₫ 79 Million in top prize money.
Before Rohit, it was Aditya Singh who posted a final table finish by securing eighth spot in the VN₫ 400 Million GTD Event #21: VN₫ 22 Million Mini High Roller and winning VN₫ 75.10 Million (INR 2.59 Lac).
