The In-Form Ravi Sheth Takes Down GUKPT London Midi Main Title

Indian-origin player Ravi Sheth is on a roll, delivering power-packed performances one after the other. Currently, he is participating in the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) in London and has started his campaign on a grand note. Fresh off his 4th-place finish in the WSOP Super Circuit Main Event, he topped a 369 entries to win the £550 GUKPT London Midi ME for £48,550 in the top prize.

The ongoing Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is the sixth leg of 2023 and the series has got off to a flying start with 369 players buying into the Midi Main Event at The Vic and creating a £184,500 prize pool as a result. The top 34 players captured a slice of that pot, with Lorenc Boci becoming  the first players to cash. He was joined by Michael Howard, Colin Gillon, James Williams, and Martins Adeniya at the payout desk.

Each of the 9 finalists in this event was guaranteed at least £3,190, the sum was picked up by Iwan Jones  when he lost his stack in ninth place. Following him were the likes of Karim Louis (8th), Chris Johnson (7th),  Brandon Sheils (6th), Callum Gordon (5th), Garry Bush (4th) and Jamie Dwan (3rd).

Sheth outclassed Hassankashani to claim the title, and this victory came just two weeks after him finishing 4th in the £3,300 No-Limit Hold’em WSOP Super Circuit Main Event at the WSOPC Super Circuit Series in London. The final table finish netted him £140,000, his career-high score.
