Season 3 of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour ended with the last stop at London crowning a new champion in Sergio Aido. A huge crowd witnessed the climax of the five day event as Aido topped a list of 1099 entries and finally won after he struck a deal with Thomas Ward, his heads up opponent. A total of 144 players cashed out in this event as Aido and Ward won GBP 144,555 and 116,845 respectively.
Aido started sixth in chip stack on the final table but soon doubled up with the help of pocket 10’s. The Spaniard showed extreme aggression as the fifth day and the final table kicked off and finally managed to top Ward who was chip leader in parts.
