It was one of the most awesome rails ever in online poker in India. Two Indian poker players making a deep run in one of the most prestigious online poker tournaments. Aditya ‘d0nkabomer’ Sushant and Abhishek ‘alwaysdegen‘ carried Team India through in the finals of the $215 Sunday Millions, $5 M GTD at Pokerstars to finish 9th and 7th respectively. While Sushant, the only ever Indian poker player to have made two Sunday Million final tables took $52,754, Abhishek of Delhi won $96,014. This is the first time that two Indians made it to the final table but also ironic that one of them had to take down the other. It was the pocket 8’s of Sushant that went down to Abhishek’s AK. It may be recalled here that OPN had highlighted Aditya Sushant as one of the players to watch out for in 2015. It is now evident that he will be starting the new year on a huge high.
There were other remarkable finishes to as players enjoyed the last poker weekend of 2014. But everything seemed dim against the sheen of the two huge finishes by these young Indian poker players. Spine619 won the Pokerstars $1.3 NLHE(TURBO) event for $1,073.88 while bblacklegend continued his great run to win the PokerStars $109 NLHE(Turbo) for $3174. Highonhypers had a great 2nd place finish in the PokerStars $5.25 NLH(Hyper Turbo) to win $1,024 while KaranRadia took 2nd in PokerStars $22 NLHE (Super Knockout) for $1,286.42. Sanjaytaneja posted a nice 6th place finish in the Hot 33 at Pokerstars to cash $1,635.66 while buddhaluv finished 2nd in the Pokerstars $82 NLHE(6-Max) Hyper Turbo for $1,680. buddhaluv also had a 5th place finish in the Big 33 for $1,823
It was a great Christmas party at adda52.com also as the Christmas Bash of their Poker Millionaire Tour(PMT) winded up with Hammer_head winning the top money of Rs. 2.24 Lakhs. Other PMT events also rewarded some huge prizes with pokerherdoc continuing his good form at adda52.com. He won the 3 Lacs PMT finale for Rs. 1.1 Lakhs. Sudham1 won the 2 lacs PMT finale for Rs. 57,000 while Tushmakster won the 1 Lac PMT finale for Rs.30000.
