Jason Mercier is maintaining his lead and still on the top of the Global Poker Index (GPI) Top 300 players list. Mercier’s performance at World Poker Tour (WPT) Monaco and his runner-up finish at PokerStars and Monte Carlo Casino European Poker Tour (EPT) Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller Event helped him tremendously to reach and retain the top spot. This year alone Mercier has won prize money over $1.7 million. And the way he is playing, it won’t take him long to cross $10 million as his live tournament earnings.
Daniel Negreanu is right behind Mercier and is strongly holdin his second position. Negreanu who has won World Series of Poker Asia pacific (WSOP APAC) Main Event earlier this year is enjoying one of his best professional year. It would be interesting to see if he will be able to replace Mercier from number one position or not. There is no change in the top 10 from last week except for a little movement at the bottom. Joseph Cheong has jumped one place and is now placed at number 9 position. Bertrand Grospellier has slipped to one place and is right at the bottom of the Top ten.
