This week the top 10 list of Global Poker Index (GPI) Top 300 players saw a lot of movement plus a new entry. Carrying forward his last week’s streak, Jason Mercier is still holding the top spot of the list. He has not won any bracelet event at the ongoing WSOP but his few money finish performances were enough to keep him in the lead. German Poker Player Philipp Gruissem who was on second place last week is safely holding his place. Apart from the top two places, all eight in the top ten list has seen some movement.
The biggest surprise and biggest leap in top ten is made by Marvin Rettenmaier. He was on seventh place last week but his last week performance placed him ahead of Daniel Negreanu, who was on third place last week and has slipped one place down. Two other players who have gained one position each are Joseph Cheong and David Sands. Cheong has moved up to fifth place and Sands on the ninth place.
Remaining players who slipped down from their last week’s position are Mike Watson who slipped two places down to sixth despite being made it to the final table of Event#53: $1,500 No Limit Hold’em of World Series of Poker (WSOP), Stephen O’Dwyer on seventh place from his fifth place last week and Paul Volpe is right at the bottom at tenth place after dropping down two places.
