As the mercury levels increased in India on the 2nd last weekend of May 2015, the poker fever also went up with a number of SCOOP events on PokerStars and IOPT event on Adda52.com. While we are yet to win any SCOOP title this season, Indian MTT grinders fetched some good figures this weekend.
The action started on Friday with Infusion_leo winning the biggest cash prize for Indian this weekend in the PS The Big $22, $50K Gtd. The Bangalore-based Sabyasachi Chakraborty won $5,800.04 finishing 3rd in this tourney. Saby didn’t stop here and conquered the field on Full Tilt Poker in the FULL TILT Triceratops event winning $2,944.00 in the top prize.
Two more notable scores came for India on Friday. Karan Radia bagged $1,629.60 in the PS $8.80+R NL Hold’em, $12K Gtd finishing 3rd and shakysh@rk pocketed $925.26 in the SCOOP Event 38-L: $27 NL Hold’em [1R1A], $200K Gtd finishing 16th.
Saturday started with jdsaz winning down the PS $5.50 NL Hold’em, $4K Gtd for $888.65. Rahil Bhatia finished 26th in the SCOOP Event 42-L: $215 NL Hold’em [Heads-Up, High-Roller], $150K Gtd bagging $1,919.21 in cash prize.
India Online Poker Tour (IOPT) 2 Lacs event was played on Sunday at Adda52.com which Jaya_Indian won taking home Rs 76,000. wishcool won Rs 44,000 in the runner-up place of the same event.
Amit “bblacklegend” Jain brought 3 notable cash figures this Sunday in PokerStars tourneys. Amit bagged $1,173.69 in the PS $215 Sunday 2nd Chance, $200K Gtd finishing 29th, $977.60 in the PS $109 Sunday Kickoff, $100K Gtd finishing 13th and $664.20 in the PS $109+R Sunday Rebuy, $200K Gtd finishing 101th.
jdsaz was on a roll this weekend winning back-to-back tourneys on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, he sealed the PS $5.50 NL Hold’em, $4K Gtd in his name adding $1,165.91 to his online earnings. Adi Agarwal won $2,508.60 in the PS $109 NL Hold’em [Turbo], $12K Gtd finishing 3rd. shakysh@rk cashed $400.00 in the 9th position of PS The Hotter $109 [Turbo], $20K Gtd.
