The 2015 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) has kicked off today at Spielbank Berlin Casino in Germany. It is for the first time WSOP Europe is being hosted at Germany, it is the third country to host the WSOPE after France which played host for 2010-2013 and England which hosted the event from 2007-2010.
The European poker festival will include 10 gold bracelet events and plethora of side events including cash games, satellites and other daily tournaments October 8-24, 2015. The event will culminate with two big buy-in events- the prestigious €10,450 Main Event on October 18 and the €25,600 High Roller event on October 21.
This year WSOPE is set to feature new bracelet events -‘Oktoberfest’ the €550 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em event and Pot-Limit Omaha event (Event #7) with €550 buy-in. The €550 No Limit Hold’em tournament will feature two starting flights per day on October 9 and October 10 while the least expensive Pot-Limit Omaha event is starting on October 15. The €550 buy-in marks the lowest buy-in ever for a WSOPE Tournament.
For those who cannot make it to Berlin for the poker festival can keep the track of the WSOPE 2015 proceedings over the internet as the event will be streamed via Twitch. The first seven events will feature broadcasts of the final table on a 30-minute delay, and the remaining three tournaments, including the Main Event and High Roller, will be on a five-minute delay, but will not feature hole cards. Further, the final tables of the Main Event and High Roller final tables will not be streamed.
After becoming a continental force with heavy presence in Asian Poker Tournaments, it’s time for Indian poker players to shine on European soil. The most talented and youngest among poker players of his generation, Arsh Grover is going to play this European series. It is for the first time Arsh would be playing an overseas poker tournament. In a brief conversation before leaving for the event, Arsh Grover mentioned “I’m pumped and excited to just go out there and play the best poker that I possibly can! Fingers crossed #LetsDoThis“.
