This week on Thursday 7th December, the AJPC (All Japan Poker Championship) announced the launch of a new poker tour, known as the AJPC Asian Circuit, to promote poker in the Asian region.
AJPC holds various events in Japan, with the AJPC Championship being the largest poker tournament. They are now all set to start their first international poker event. The aim is to develop one of the largest circuits in Asia’, with the AJPC also revealing their plans of hosting multiple tournaments across Asia through 2018.This first Asian tour will take place at Paradise City Incheon, Korea. Named as the AJPC Asian Circuit – Korea, the event is scheduled for 14th-18th December 2018.
The venue is a casino resort close to South Korea’s main airport and the event is expected to draw more than 300 poker players from Japan, with lots of players from other Asian countries.
The 5-day event will feature a main event with 1.1 million (~INR 65,100) buy-in, and a high roller event with 11.8 million (~INR 6,98,400) buy-in. The AJPC aims to focus on developing the game of poker for the Japanese players, promoting events both in Japan and outside the country.
