Being hosted in the city of Barcelona, the European Poker Tour (EPT) featuring 34 events has some big tournaments on its schedule. One big tournament is €100K Super High Roller where the field is reduced to the final 9 players who are led by the Austrian player Matthias Eibinger with 3,040,000 in chips. He is followed by Mikita Badziakouski and Ahadpur Khangah in 2nd and 3rd places.
With 54 entries in this event, a massive prize pool of €5,239,080 has been created, with top 7 players sharing it, with a min – cash of €275,050. This means two more players needs to be eliminated to reach ITM stage, but all the survivors will be eyeing the top prize of €1,650,300 (~INR 13.41 crore).
Some notables to bust during Day 2 include PokerStars Team Pro, Daniel Negreanu, who busted before the close of day’s play. Other names include David Peters, Stephen Chidwick, Ivan Leow, Luc Greenwood, and Michael Soyza to name a few. Soyza won the €10,300 High Roller a week ago.
The action for Day 3 will resume at Level 19 with the blinds running at 30,000/60,000. Byron Kaverman, US poker pro will start the Day 3 as the shortest stack on the table, with 610,000 in chips.
