Consistency is something every poker player is trying to maintain. Being consistent is why the good players end up being profitable in the long run. One of the consistent regs at the online felts is Siddarth Singhvi aka ‘badtameez_donk’, who has been putting up great efforts and it is all showing up in his results. He has been in amazing form. Just recently, he won the Ace Race 1 and now he is back into headlines for winning the 20 Lac GTD Adda52 Millions. Singhvi pocketed INR 4,95,541 following a heads-up deal with Sravanth Reddy aka ‘sravanth49’, who settled for INR 4,84,459.
It was a long grind for Singhvi as he had to battle it hard for over 8 hours to emerge the victorious. On his way to the grand victory, he beat a strong field and a tough final table that included Rajat Sharma aka ‘Oshoswami’ (5th for INR 1.5 Lac) and Abhishek Rathod aka ‘dx23’ (6th for INR1,10,000)
The 11K buy-in event drew a total of 161 entries and the top 12 players made money with a min-cash of INR 35K. Adda52 team pro – Kunal Patni aka ‘KunalPatni’, who has won several online poker tournament on adda52.com, ended his journey in 7th place for INR 75K, while Sumit Sapra aka ‘Hammer_Head’ ended up his journey finishing in 10th place for INR 35K in the prizemoney.
We caught up with Singhvi after this major win on adda52.com. Here are the excerpts:
OPN: Hi Singhvi, congratulations on the win! Please tell about your run over the last few months.
Singhvi: Thanks a lot. Actually, I have managed to keep good consistency on a weekly basis over the last couple of months, which is also reflective on all the Ace Race leaderboards.
OPN: Combing back to Adda52 Millions, how does it feel to win this popular tourney?
Singhvi: It feels great to win Adda52 Millions. It’s a good 6-max event with amazing structure. I have been coming close regularly, finally managed to win this one.
OPN: How tough was the field and how was your overall experience?
Singhvi: It was a big Sunday across all poker sites, so the whole of online world was on the grind. As usual, the field was a nice mixture of poker pros, regs and recs. Overall, it was a nice experience.
OPN: It was a tough FT with Rajat Sharma and Abhishek Rathod. Please share your FT journey.
Singhvi: FT was good, I chipped up initially to a decent stack and then ‘sravanth49’ went on a heater and cleaned up a couple of guys. 3-handed was fun, it lasted for about 90 minutes with each one of us being a CL at some point. It was around 5 AM in the morning and we just chopped!
OPN: Finally, what are your plans in online and live poker? What about WPT India next month?
Singhvi: I will continue playing online as usual because that is where most of the learning comes from. I would also like to increase my live poker volume a bit more. I am excited and looking forward to WPT India (13th -19th November 2018). I hope, it’s going to be bigger & better than last year.
