The BIG 50 – $500 No-Limit Hold’em of the 2019 WSOP has created history with its fourth and final starting flight – Day 1D attracting the highest numbers of 9,171 entries and taking the total field to 28,497. A total of 2,103 players progressed to Day 2D with Andrei Khosh (970,000) topping them all. Among the ones progressing to Day 2D were 4 Indians – Sikander Rajwade (434,000), Shravan Chhabria (114,000), two-time bracelet winner Nipun Java (92,000) and Raghav Bansal (59,000).
There were 5 Indians who progressed to Day 2B and they included WSOP debutant Siddharth Mundada (509,000), 2018 WSOP ME best Indian finisher Nishant Sharma (477,000), Romit Advani (343,000), WSOP first-timer Ronak Vyas (232,000) and India’s female pro Muskan Sethi (145,000).
Out of the 5 Indians from Day 2B, only two could progress to Day 3 of the event and they were Nishant Sharma (1.18 million) and Romit Advani (1.09 million). As per WSOP payouts updated for Day 2B, there were two Indians – Ronak Vyas (534th for $1,101) and Siddharth Mundada (584th for $1,002) who finished in the money. Both Vyas and Mundada picked up their first WSOP cashes.
Both Sharma and Advani will be joined on Day 3 by Vivek Rughani and Dhawal Lachhawani (who progressed from Day 2A) and the rest of the Indians from Day 2C and Day 2D. The chip leader from Day 2B is Jerald Williamson who has bagged 4.1 million chips. Day 3 is slated to play out on 5th June.
