Jaiswal defeated a strong field of 173 entries to take down his first-ever DPT title for INR 2,40,000 in top prize. He entered heads-up as the chip leader against Devesh Thapar who played really well but could not go all the way, eventually finishing runner-up for INR 1,46,000 as second place prize.
The last hand of the tournament was a pre-flop all-in with Devesh Thapar all-in for 10.35 million and Pawan Jaiswal all-in for 15.60 million. Devesh held Qc Qd, while Pawan had Ah 4d. The board ran out As 6c 10d 10s 2d where Pawan’s Ah 4d came out as the best to beat pocket queens of Devesh.
Pawan started the final table as 3rd in chips with 375k but got the momentum early on by picking some decent pots. From there on, there was no looking back and he went on to extend his chip lead. He played quite aggressively and eliminated five players from FT, including Kanishk Kapoor, Aditya Boddu, Saumil Krishnani, Ashish Choudhary and finally Devesh Thapar who had started the final table as the chip leader. Good evening and welcome back to Deltin JAQK, which is all geared up for the 10K Bounty event that kicks off in a while from now at 5pm!The buy-in for the bounty event of the series is INR 10K (5K +5K) and players will start with a stack of 15K (300BB). The tournament will feature 20 minute levels and late registration will be open till the end of level 8. There will be short breaks after level 4, 8 and 14.
