The DR Cup on board Royale Poker Room, Casino Deltin Royale is on track and will not be cancelled or rescheduled. While the Great Indian Shuffle which was announced by Deltin as a gaming festival panning across various casinos games including poker has been rescheduled to June 2014 but the DR Cup will be held on schedule on 26th March 2014.
According to highly places sources at the Deltin Royale, OPN can confirm that The five day tournament with two events including the 15K Freezeout and the 49k Main Event will be conducted as usual. Earlier the DR CUP Main Event was clubbed with the ‘Great Indian Shuffle’ and thus had a huge guarantee of 50 Lakhs. Since the gaming festival has now been rescheduled, the guarantee is now back to the regular Main event and will be 20Lakhs.
The five day outing of the DR Cup is an elaborate schedule where the Main Event has a structure which gives all players a good chance at the title. Spread across 4 days, the main event will guarantee 20 Lakhs and is expected to cross the guarantees as in earlier editions. With a good payout structure, DR Cup has ensured that the tournament culture peeps back into Goa casinos. Names like Jasven Saigal, Shashank Sidharth and Abercio De Mello have won the Main Events of the first three editions of DR Cup.
