The Irish Poker Open, which is the longest-running poker festival in Europe, was recently moved online to partypoker to avoid canceling the festival due to safety concerns during the coronavirus outbreak. Running from April 6-12 on partypoker, the series featured several exciting events. The biggest attraction was its €1,100 Main Event that guaranteed €1,000,000. The event pulled in a total of 2,945 across its four starting flights and generated €2,945,000 to nearly triple the guarantee.
In the end, Brazil’s Pablo Silva came out on top of the field to win the title and the top prize of €462,100. This was Silva’s second biggest victory of 2020 as he had won the $5,000,000 guaranteed $10,300 buy-in main event for $1,000,000 in February at the partypoker MILLIONS South America.
