Powered by Adda52, the latest edition of Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) held from 14th to 19th April onboard Deltin Royale casino in Goa was a record-breaking success. Featuring a whopping INR 2 Crore GTD prize pool, it was thronged by a large number of players and all the events crushed their respective guarantees. Held nearly after a gap of two years, the prestigious poker festival more than doubled its guaranteed prize pool, attracting more than 1800 entries and generating more than INR 4.5 Crores in prize pools, thus making it the most successful and memorable edition in DPT history.
The series had an exciting mix of pro and new players across genders. It witnessed the rise of several young, skillful and talented players like Aayush Arya, Kanchan Sharma, Amit Kaushik, & Tushar Bharti – they all displayed some top-notch poker skills, powering their way to the top and walking away with their first DPT titles and trophies. There were a total of seven tournaments played out, with the DPT 35K Main Event and 65K High Roller taking on special significance among them. Not only did they drew record-breaking fields, they crowned new champions. Sumit Lalchandani won the Main Event for INR 35.64 Lac, while the High Roller was taken down by Delhi’s Aayush Arya who banked INR 36.64 Lac, becoming the biggest winners of the series. DPT 11K Warm-Up – Vaibhav Shah – INR 4.28 Lac
The series got off to a flying start on 14th April with the opening event, DPT 11K Warm-Up, drawing in an impressive 344 entries and generating INR 34.40 Lac prizepool that was shared by the top 63 players with a min-cash of INR 12,200. While we saw many pros in the field, walking away with the title and trophy was Mumbai’s Vaibhav Shah who banked INR 4.28 Lac, following a three-way deal with Avadh Shah (runner-up for INR 5.16 Lac), and Kshitij Kucheria (3rd place for INR 5,03,500).

DPT 65K High Roller – Aayush Arya – INR 36.64 Lac
While every event witnessed a massive turnout, the biggest buy-in event of the series, the DPT 65K High Roller, was a record-breaking success. The high-roller tourney attracted players from all over India, resulting in a record 281 entries and more than doubling its GTD with a jaw-dropping INR 1,65,86,025 in prizepool shared by the top 36 players with a min-cash of INR 1,12,800. The highly-anticipated event came to a spectacular end with Delhi’s Aayush Arya taking home the coveted title. Arya took home a career-best INR 36.64 Lac and his first DPT trophy. Long time poker pro Paawan Bansal from Meerut placed runner-up and walked away with INR 25,70,800 and the DPT trophy.
This High Roller lasted more than its scheduled time for the first time in DPT history. It was a two-day event originally scheduled to run from 15th to 16th April. However, due to the overwhelming response from players joining it from all over the country, the tourney progressed into Day 3.

The star attraction of the series, DPT 35K Main Event, also drew in a record-breaking field like the high-roller event. The multi-day tourney drew a record 602-entry field across its one online flight and three live starting flights, surpassing its specified gaurantee and creating a massive INR 1,88,47,950 in the prize pool that got distributed among the top 72 players with a min-cash worth INR 60,600.
The Main Event was scheduled to run from 16th to 18th April but progressed into Day 4 due to the overwhelming participation. Finally, it concluded on 19th April with Sumit Lalchandani taking home the coveted title. He walked away with a career-best INR 35.64 Lac and his maiden DPT trophy. Sandeep Gupta placed runner-up and took home INR 25,10,600, plus the beautiful DPT trophy.

Running on 17th April, it did well drawing in 282 entries and generating a massive INR 25,23,900 in the prizepool that was shared by the top 36 players with a min-cash of INR 17,200. After several hours of intense battles, it was Amit Kaushik from Kurukshetra who came out on top of the field to clinch his first DPT title and trophy. He finally outlasted Rajesh Rajpopat (runner-up for INR 3.91 Lac) in the heads-up to bank INR 5.57 Lac.

Like every other event of the series, the DPT 15K PLO Bounty on 18th April saw PLO enthusiasts coming out in big numbers. A total of 212 entries signed up for the special PLO tourney, creating a massive INR 19,01,700 that was shared by the top 25 finishers with a min-cash worth INR 19,000. In the end, walking away with the title was Tushar Bharti who took home an impressive INR 4.85 Lac. Amrit Kalash (2nd INR 3,03,300) and Vineet Kumar (3rd for INR 1,94,500) secured podium finishes.

DPT 15 Lac Freeroll & 10K Womens Special
Aimed at offering a superlative tournament experience to poker players, the six-day extravaganza culminated in style with a DPT 15 Lac Freeroll & a 10K Womens Special tournaments on 19th April.
The DPT 15 Lac Freeroll saw the former DPT Xpress Main Event champion Anant Purohit overcoming a field of 81 entrants to win INR 3.30 Lac. Puneet Tandon (2nd for INR 1,91,000) and Rajsekhar Puttamsetty (3rd for INR 1,91,00) were the other players securing podium finishes.
The top 10 players were paid out in this special freeroll tourney and there were several women finishing in the money including Swaati S (10th for INR 72,000), Priya Agarwal (9th place for INR 75,000), and the DPT 10K Womens Special runner-up Katya Joule (7th place for INR 1,05,000).

Another event on the final day of the series, the DPT 10K Womens Special drew in a record field of 24 entries and generated INR 2,14,800 that was shared by the top 4 finishers. Walking away with the title and top prize was none other than the former Godfather winner Kanchan Sharma who won INR 92,400 and her first DPT trophy. Katya Joule placed runner-up and banked INR 64,400.

2 Crore GTD Big Millions
Running alongside the 10K Womens Special was the final table of Adda52’s 2 Crore GTD Big Millions, an online-live hybrid that saw Bangalore-based 38-year-old Avinash ‘avinkon’ Koneru overcoming a field of 1287 players to win a career-best INR 31 Lac and a beautiful trophy along with it. Koneru had qualified via an INR 1,100 buy-in satellite and ended up shipping it. Bulusu Venkat Ram Narayana (2nd for INR 22.73 Lac) and Himanshu Arora (3rd for INR 16.34 Lac) banked the other top payouts.
