The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam is currently underway at the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh. After several deep runs in side events, Indians are now rocking at the APT Vietnam Main Event. A lot of Indian players have made it to Day 2 of the event, which kicks off in a few hours from now.
From Day 1A, 7 Indians entered Day 2, namely Apoorva Goel (194,500), Abhishek Panda (192,900), Abhinav Iyer (162,500), Vivek Rughani (140,700), Kanishka Samant (87,500), Manoj Pentakota (69,200) and Adda52 Team Pro – Kunal Patni (54,200). Nikita Luther bagged the chip lead among the survivors of Day 1B, where a total of 4 Indians progressed. Day 1C saw a huge turnout with 236 entries in total. A total of 105 players entered Day 2, including a contingent of 13 Indian players.
Headlining the Day 1C flight of the Main Event was Nishant Sharma (213,200). Sharma ended the day as the 8th largest stack among the 105 survivors who made it to Day 2 of the ongoing event.
Other 12 Indians entering Day 2 from Day 1C were Sajal Gupta (120,100) who finished 4th in APT Vietnam Monster Stack, Sahil Agarwal (110,400), Aman Dhamija (107,600), Zarvan Tumboli (101,500), Rubin Labroo (76,100), Akshay Nasa (67,500), Banman (66,700), Rahul Marwaha (55,400), Sumit Sapra (55,200), Dhaval Mudgal (51,500), Alok Birewar (50,000) and Paawan Bansal (29,200). Day 1C also saw a female player Mei San Ang emerging as the chip leader with 292,200.
Leading 24 Indians into Day 2 of the APT Vietnam Main Event is the WSOP Bracelet winner – Nikita Luther (422,300). She also leads 194 survivors who will be coming to battle it on Day 2 today. Following Luther in chips are Korea’s Soo Jo Kim (365,700) and Singapore’s Tzai Wei Phua (341,400).
So far, the APT Vietnam Main Event has generated a combined 471 entries in total with 194 players entering Day 2 and the prize pool reaching around VND 9 billion. Registration will close on Day 2 and only then we can have the official number of total entries and prizepool. Stay tuned in here!
