Trevor Pope wins First WSOP Bracelet

After taking a massive lead in the final table of the Event 2 of the 44th World Series of Poker, Trevor Pope won his first WSOP Bracelet ever in a very dominant poker performance. The American poker pro had gone into the final table of $5000 NL Hold’em /Eight Handed as the chip leader with more than 3 Million chips and his nearest competitor sitting with about half a million chips. This gigantic lead over his fellow poker players gave Pope a huge advantage and finally won him a prize packet of $553,906.

David Vamplew was second and won $342,450 while third place finisher Darryl Fish took about $215,000. Jared Hemby finished in fourth place and was richer by $154,518. In all 56 players finished in the money in this poker event. Former WSOP Bracelet winner Bryan Piccioli, Antonio Esfandiari and Jesse Sylvia are some of the others who finished in the money.

Another Event which has drawn an amazing response has been the much hyped ‘Millionaire Maker‘ Event #6A, $1500 NL Hold’em. This event has seen more than 3700 entrants in the first two flights and it is former WSOP Bracelet holder Ryan Welchs who leads this huge field of poker players.

The Bracelet winner is also to be decided soon in Event #3, $1000 NL Hold’em where Seth Berger is leading with 4,750,000 chips. Charles Sylvestre is second with half that amount of stack while William Guerrero is the weakest with 900,000 chips. When the event went on break before filing this story, Michael Cooper had just been eliminated in 4th place. 

Event #4, $1500 NL Hold’em / 6 Handed was also approaching the final table with Level 18 currently on. Former Main Event WSOP Bracelet winner Joe Cada was in chip lead with 620,000 chips while there was a close trail of poker players behind him.
